PINEVILLE, LA — This September, for National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Beta joined forces with Cenla Runners Heroes, Cleco and the Central Louisiana community to raise $25,000 in life-saving funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Cenla Runners Heroes is a local nonprofit making large strides to end childhood cancer. Each year, they race to raise money and support St. Jude in their mission to advance cures for childhood cancer and provide free treatment and resources to patients and their families. The team’s fundraising efforts culminate at the annual St. Jude Memphis Marathon. Last year, they raised over $300,000 and ranked second in team fundraising for the Memphis run.

Making an impact like that takes partnerships and rallying local community members and businesses to participate. Beta was proud to get involved this year and make a powerful difference by joining Cleco as a co-title sponsor of Cenla Runners Heroes’ 5th Annual Red Wagon 5K and 1-Mile Wagon Pull. The event had record-breaking participation and raised $25,000 for St. Jude.
