Beta Engineering and EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA) earned recognition from The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA) in the 2024 W3 Awards program on October 2. The W3 Awards honors digital marketing and communications content from independent creatives to global agencies.
Now in its 19th season, each year the W3 Awards receives thousands of entries that are judged on a ten-point scale by a panel of industry experts. The AIVA honored Beta Engineering and EDPR NA for their collaboration and execution of community relations and media efforts supporting EDPR NA’s Ragsdale Solar Park in Canton, Mississippi, with a silver W3 Award in the Environmental & Sustainability video category.
“The winners of the 19th Annual w3 Awards are simply brilliant,” says AIVA managing director Lauren Angeloni, “I’m honored that such a wildly inventive group of creators entrusted their work to the AIVA. I also would like to extend deep and sincere thanks to our jurors, who gave so much time and care in their evaluation of each entry.”
This was Beta and EDPR NA’s second joint marketing and public relations project—the first being their 2023 award-winning Crooked Lake Solar Community Outreach Video.
“The team at EDPR NA is passionate about effecting positive growth within the communities where they build.” says Lindsey Launius, Director of Market Strategy for Beta. “Often, this means engaging with the community directly throughout the project lifecycle to ensure transparency and buy-in from the landowners and nearby residents. At Beta, our clients’ success is paramount, and we have a skilled team ready to act as an extension of our clients’ teams beyond our standard turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services. It’s an honor to collaborate alongside clients like EDPR NA and their stakeholders to help them tell their story.”
The W3 Awards is an international award that honors outstanding digital experiences, content, and creativity. The annual program is overseen and judged by the AIVA, an invitation-only organization consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing brands and firms such as Walt Disney Studios, PepsiCo, Netflix, and IBM.
