When you bring passionate, great minds together—businesses and communities thrive. At Beta, our customers have more control over their high-voltage projects because we can work alongside our sister companies that manufacture and galvanize steel. Our vertical integration doesn't stop at building our nation's electrical infrastructure, though. Here's just one example of how we work together to improve our communities.
Mike Bergeron is one of our Project Engineers. Every Friday for almost two years now, he volunteers at Glass Act Recycling, a Central Louisiana non-profit whose mission is to reduce glass in local landfills. Recently, the recycling facility's machine that crushes glass broke down, and just like Mike tackles project challenges, he tackled this problem head-on. Mike rolled up his sleeves, thought outside the box, and collaborated with his teammates across our organization.
First, he worked with DIS-TRAN Steel to create the replacement part needed to fix the recycling center's crusher. Then, he worked with our sister company Millennium Galvanizing to quality test the crushed glass and see how it compared to natural sand products typically used in the post-galvanization process.
Now, thanks to the help of our teammates, Glass Act Recycling is truly a 360-degree recycling effort that brings marketable glass abrasives and pool filtration media products to Louisiana companies and keeps glass out of landfills.
Beta Engineering is a private, family-owned substation EPC company with headquarters in Pineville, LA, and an office in San Diego. Since 1975, Beta has been building high-voltage substation and transmission line projects for power delivery companies across the U.S. Contact our team of experts to leverage our nearly 50 years of problem-solving experience and achieve your long-term goals.
